Buffet ideas

I'm doing a buffet for about 40 people on Sunday. Would like some ideas of things to make other than cold nuggets, sausages etc.

Any ideas

Cold pasta salads always go down well
Crisps and dips too (and crudites)
Cold chicken legs
Sushi

Good evening sweetheart.
The world is your oyster there. You can do the normal compound salad, e.g. Potato salad. coleslaw, corination chicken salad. If you wanted to liven up the potato salad add some grated boiled eggs and bacon bits, or just bacon bits.
Tomato and red onion salads, 3 bean salad, Mexican sald, rice sald, waldorf salad.Endless examples of salads. Have plenty more if you so desire.
Now for the tit bits as we call them. the boring things like sausages on sticks, scotch eggs, pork pies, pineapple and cheese sticks.
Also there are other things Quiche- Endless things that you can put in a quiche, the normal and most popular one is Lorraine. What about donig a broccoloi and cream cheese quiche.
then the meat. chicken drumsticks always go down well.A bit of advice marinade the meat before you cook it. Adding flavour well only improve it. Things like Tandoori, Sticky BBQ, Honey & Mustard, Lemon, Garlic & Herb. I can go on.
The reason being is i am a chef by trade. Sorry for blabbing i can't help it as i love food. If there's anything else i will happily answer your questions and i will also give recipes, Happy cooking,

I love a good buffet!

Cold pizza is always good!
Cous Cous is fantastic - you can do savoury or sweet (for the sweet I recommend apples and cinnamon).
Bread - never underestimate how many people like buttered rolls/slices of bread!
Similarly most people are always pleased to see crisps, nuts and small nibbles - I guess the idea of a buffet is everything you wouldn't typically eat at a meal.
