I'm using but fir the first time Shock

The instructions say when they pressure is up "lower the heat source" BUT

how much do you lower it to?
Is making a noise and steam is coming out...is it low enough????
Aaaggghhhh

Thanks

I turn the gas to the lowest setting - most will still steam and whistle. Remember to make sure it doesn't boil dry whilst it's on the hob - it can happen really quickly even on the lowest heat. Oh, and remember to ensure the pressure is released before taking the lid off - if you have to force it, there's still pressure in there.
