Does anyone know this cookbook?

I bought it from the Book People almost ten years ago and lost it at some point. It was a hardback vegetable cookbook, bright cover - featuring a tomato possibly, and it was split into chapters focusing on specific veg. There was an anecdote about Italian kids eating fennel bulbs as if they were apples. I can't find anything online that looks like it. Does it ring any bells?

I've got lots far too many of cookbooks but this isn't ringing any bells sorry. Will have a quick search on eat my books for you, just in case it jumps out.

Is it Jane Grigson's vegetable book?

GatoradeMeBitch · 08/05/2014 17:24

It isn't her 'Vegetable Book', but actually her 'Vegetables' book is the closest thing I've found. It does have a section on fennel. I might pick that up anyway! Maybe I have the cover confused with something else, I thought there was a large picture of a halved tomato on the cover but google isn't throwing up anything.

I have messaged The Book People to see if they can help me. It was about a decade ago so they probably don't keep customer records for that long, but it's worth a shot!
