I've been trying to remove some of the sugar from our diets and nasty breakfast cereals seemed a good place to start.
He's mixed 1/3 rice crispies, 1/3 porridge oats and the other 1/3 is raisins, cranberries, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and flaked almonds.
I know it's still pretty high in sugar (possibly higher?) because of the dried fruit but at least it's not added sugar like commercial cereals and it does have some actual nutrients and protein from the seeds and nuts.
What's more it's delicious. The rice crispies make it much lighter and less stodgy than commercial museli
