Jamie Oliver has a recipe for really good meatballs made with a mix of pork and beef mince?

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pasta-recipes/meatballs-and-pasta

I use it for meat balls just by itself of mix it with beef
I also make meatloaf sometimes with turkey mince and beef or pork mince.

OK, as I have two packs - stir fry for me and meatballs/ maybe meatloaf for DD. Thanks!

Pork and sage burgers are nice too

We had rissoles last night with pork mince. Grate 2 carrots, 1 leek, 1 red pepper, some apple (or apple sauce), some bread and an egg. Mix in the mince and form small patties or balls and cook.

We had a NZ au pair when the kids were small and she introduced them to us. 'Rissoles' has to be said in a NZ accent in our house (and we have to have them on a night when dh is out, as he has taken against them).

Hairy Bikers do a lovely low-fat recipe with them - I tend to add chilli to both the meatballs and the sauce though which gives it a nice kick.

thai larb www.taste.com.au/recipes/16894/thai+pork+larb

meatballs

spring rolls..

Ingredients, no quantities as that can be altered to taste or amount of servings.

grated potato,
grated carrot,
finely shredded cabbage,
finely diced small onion,
grated ginger,
pinch five spice,
dash of fish sauce,
salt & pepper,
sprinkle of chilly flakes,
pork mince,
dash soy sauce
about 1/2 cup of vege stock.
Just cook stir constantly until all ingredients are cooked.
Set aside to cool.
Place in wrappers and deep fry or do as I did & coat with oil, bake in oven until wrappers are browned.

Frikadellen, danish meatballs. Amazing with red cabbage and mash... Google it, I use old family recipe.

Meatloaf's a big favourite around here. Look up Delia's recipe for American Style Meatloaf wrapped in bacon.

Pork tacos.

I fry a little bit of chopped red onion. Add 2 tsp each of smoked paprika and cumin. Add the mince and fry until browned. Then add 300ml of passata and 4 tbsp of BBQ sauce. Sometimes I crumble in a beef OXO cube for a more meaty flavour. Turn the heat up so the sauce thickens and clings to the mince. Add kidney beans. Serve with tacos.

Favourite of ours....

Pack pork mince
Pack bean sprouts
1/2 red peppers

Fry together, add some oyster sauce and soy sauce and chopped spring onions.

Throw in some cooked noodles and mix and serve.

No idea what it's called, it came from a body building magazine but it's yum.

Apple, pork and mustard burgers
Chinese leaf pork wraps.Try BBC Good Food website, it's great.

Nigel Slaters pork polpettine are delicious. Alternatively mix with lamb mince and make some koupepia (Cypriot Dolmades)

badgerknowsbest · 05/05/2014 16:02

Pork and apple burgers are lovely, not a lot of apple just a bit grated into the pork mince, think the recipe was on bbc food website.

WaveorCheer · 05/05/2014 16:08

Stir fry with veggies and add this lemon and soy sauce dressing. Best stir fry ever!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/05/2014 16:10

Oriental pork burgers.

Pork mince
Grated, fresh ginger
Soy sauce,
Garlic
Five spice

Season the mince with the spices and soy sauce, to taste (fry off a little bit to check the flavour), and form into burgers. Fry until cooked through, serve in buns, with some BBQ sauce if you want.

Pork bolognese. Just make as you would beef.

Or this is pretty gorgeous:

I really like chilli con carne made with pork. Made it in error as defrosted pork instead of beef but it was delicious.

Or spicy thai pork in lettuce wraps?
