DS prefers lots of picky things to sandwiches etc.

i got a little round container in the factory shop- you take the lid off and inside is divided into four sections rather than faffing about with lots of containers and cling film.

he usually has anything from the following:

cocktail sausages
cheese cubes
cold homemade chicken nuggets
breadsticks
bread and butter
tortilla
cucumber/pepper/carrot sticks
organix carrot crisps
melon, grapes, strawberries etc.
frube (freeze these in summer- keeps the box cool and has defrosted in time for lunch)

not very exciting but he likes plain food and this isnall straighforward for him to eat without mess.

sometimes i used to send in an egg and bread and they would cook scrambled egg on toast, or send spag bol/mince and tatties that they would reheat. it could be worth asking if your preschool will do this, gives a a bit of variery if they are eating lunch there every day.

Cheese straws, homemade pizza, pasta salad and if you want to go all fancy, try bentoSmile
