BBQ Sides

PretzelPrincess · 23/04/2014 18:51

As the weather is peeking up I'm organising a BBQ. I have the meat sorted but need some ideas for sides. We will be having q a few people over (think 30-40) so I'd like stuff I can prep the day before/can be eaten cold.
All ideas and recipes welcome!

Homemade fresh relish! With 30-40 people, it'll be worth making a couple, they taste so much better than shop bought and can include everything from guacamole, mango salsa, spicy tomato, pistachio and coconut, caramelised onions, yoghurt with cucumber, garlic and mint..they bring meat alive...serve with good quality bread, (which is almost impossible to find) and you're on to a winner!

Griddled asparagus, corn on the cob, baked potato / sweet potato. Yum.

You'll need coleslaw, obvs. Don't cut it too finely and it'll be lovely prepped the day before.
