There's a chicken roasting in the oven...

... what can I serve it with that isn't "boring old roast" ?

Only boring because we had roast potatoes yesterday, with peas, carrots and a delicious fluffy toad-in-the-hole [yum]. I'd not read my menu plan properly, and we've ended up with two similar things next to each other, so I'd like to change up the chicken a bit! Grin

Any ideas?

Roasted veg (aubergine, courgette, peppers, onion, garlic, thyme) and couscous. Drizzle juice from veg roasting pan and chicken pan over couscous. Amazingly delicious (and couscous takes 5 mins, veg cook in the same oven as chicken so really easy too).

We had rice and yellow pepper with our roast lamb today, with lots of scrummy lamb gravy!

Stuffing, gravy and make hot roast sandwiches!

Too late now but for another time,

In wraps as fajitas, burritos or enchiladas.

In pasta with pesto.

With rice as chicken fried rice.

On a baked potato as coronation chicken.

In pasta salad.

With cous cous.

With redcurrant jelly and brie melted onto a ciabatta roll.
