Tinned Strawberries in Juice.

Can you still buy tinned strawberries ? all the supermarkets i have been to, don't have them,was there a shortage last year or something.

B&M bargains used to do them.

I defrosted a bag of garden strawberries I'd frozen by gently heating them in a saucepan with some icing sugar. Interestingly they turned out exactly like the tinned strawberries I remember from my childhood. Rather nice on top of a cheesecake.

I've only ever seen them in syrup, but you can find those in most supermarkets. I use them in trifles so always have some in
