Hi, would you eat a tin of chickpeas bbe Nov 2012 and kidney beans bbe June 2013? Or is it a question of opening them and sniffing? Trouble is I'm not sure what they are supposed to smell like. Easter Confused

I had some BBE April 2012 coffee this morning. Easter Grin

BBE is best before end so I would just give them a rinse and they will be fine. I wouldn't eat if it was a Use By date. But best before end is just that try are past thier best but still edible. Tinned food is usually exectly the same past the date but things like crisps and cereal go a bit soggy.

If the tin isn't damaged, then the food will be absolutely fine.
