chocolate mousse advice please

Hi - I am planning to make a chocolate mousse for pudding on Sunday and have a delia recipe which uses dark choc, eggs and some water.

My question is, can I mix up dark and milk chocolate so it's not too rich and 'grown up' tasting? Dd, aged 4, is so excited that we're having chocolate mousse so I want to make sure she'll like it - I don't think a super fancy dark chocolate flavour would really be her taste!

So could I make it with half dark and half milk choc, or would folding in whipped cream lighten it up a bit?

Any advice or alternative recipes would be welcome!

Hi I made that mousse this afternoon and can see nor reason why you shouldn't mix the chocolates up. I did use all dark and it is good . It looked like it had split a little but it was fine when it was mixed with the egg white . You can always serve it with Cream .

Thanks Morgan - good to know it is a reliable recipe!

I was thinking maybe I could leave the recipe as it is and just have whipped or single cream on the side - could just mix it into dd's if she thinks it's too strong.
Or maybe it would be a good way to put her off chocolate...!
