Hi, please can someone give me some new ideas for breakfast for my 11mth old daughter! I'm stuck alternating between porridge with fruit one day and weetabix the next! Are other cereals like Rice Crispies ok to give at this age? Thanx.

Cereals are fine - I gave rice krispies, cheerios, puffed wheat etc. How about scrambled egg? or scoth pancakes or toast or yoghurt with fruit? HTH

half an avocado mashed with banana
french toast

Scotch pancakes with blackcurrant jam were my DS's favourite at that age - or the ones with raisins in and no jam (less mess!). Porridge and weetabix will keep her full for longer, rather than rice crispies (IMO).

Readybrek, and Sainsbury do a whole grain sultana shreddie thing (own brand) with no added sugar...the only one I could find. They also do a plain shreddie. Peter Rabbit range in Waitrose do plain cornflakes, and also could get plain puffed wheat from healthfood shop.
