Pasta sauce ideas

I normally batch cook a load of Bolognese sauce and freeze portions, so I have some quick and healthy meals on standby for my DC (4 and 1).

After going through a phase of loving it, my eldest now seems a bit off/bored of it, so I am looking for some alternatives. I am veggie so struggle with knowing what meat can be made into what dishes...

Could I make a Bolognese type sauce with lamb? Or minced turkey? if you have any recipes to share or suggestions of things I could try, then that would be great. Thanks!

(PS neither of my DC like pesto and I make pasta with veggie sauce too)

Tomato based sauce with a can of tuna stirred in - and a handful of capers. Very tasty.

Neither DC will eat tuna, but thank you! They like other fish though!

It works with prawns too.

I guess you could use chunks of white fish either. Just ensure you add the fish/prawns towards the end of cooking time so they aren't overdone.

I love pasta with one of those tins of mackerel in tomato sauce and some roasted small tomatoes and red onion, although I'm guessing if tuna is not popular that won't be either!
I've done turkey mince meatballs with a creamy mushroom sauce before.
Or chunks of chicken breast and tomatoey sauce with peppers would work. Also I love bacon in macaroni cheese and you can add leeks/cauliflower/sweetcorn/sliced tomato topping to make it a bit healthier.

Plain tomato/tomato with veg?
Pesto and cheese - DS loves pasta with pesto, soft cheese and broccoli, it also works well with peas.

IS there a recipe for the turkey meatballs and mushroom sauce, themagic?

Hmm I think it may have been vaguely based on or adapted from an online recipe, most of my cooking is! I think it was just grated onion, paprika, mixed herbs in the meatballs, grill them and make a standard white sauce and add sautéed garlic mushrooms and whole grain mustard. Sorry that's so vague.

I just needed a starting point, really. Cheers m'dears.

Chopped hot cooked sausages stirred into a tomato/onion sauce over pasta usually appeals to children, or use sausagemeat to make meatballs, though it's more of a faff!
Chicken and mushrooms in white sauce or creamy cheese sauce works well with pasta shapes such as bows ot twists.
Spaghetti Carbonara with eggs cheese bacon and cream is quick and tasty.

Pesto with chorizo and cauliflower or leeks is delicious. Chicken cacciatore. White beans and tomato sauce. Lardons and philadelphia.
