Any help would be great, to turned up anything as yet. My little boy is allergic to many things one of them being chocolate. As you can imagine easter is a bit of a pain. Does anybody have any idea where I can get Easter eggs made out of anything but chocolate?

What else is he allergic to? It might rule out other alternatives. Is it the dairy he's allergic to? If so there are dairy, egg and gluten free eggs I've seen. If you google you sold find them. Or I've seen jelly eggs like these ones in waitrose
And some that are just made out of sugar but don't have a link to any I'm afraid.

You could buy some plastic eggs and fill with treats that he can eat. Or make egg shaped biscuits or cakes and decorate as an alternative?

Or there's the big cardboard eggs. I think Haribo do an Easter box treat that excludes chocolate, I got it in either Tesco or Asda last year.

Haribo do Easter packs - bought a couple today for a work donation thing. There were quite a few jelly things (Asda)

He is just allergic to chocolate, not dairy. Will look out for haribo box. A big egg made of something else would be great, maybe a sugar egg. Don't know? Thankyou for your replies

these have gone down well with our non chocolate eating DD

We use royal icing instead of chocolate to coat.

Does he like marzipan ? Marzipan pigs are a Scandi tradition but they do the eggs in Lidl

TyneTeas · 11/04/2014 20:57

Can I butt in to say if anyone knows of a good non chocolate adult Easter egg I would be delighted.

OP- we made marshmallow eggs once-rolled in toasted coconut. I'll text my brother and ask if he remembers how. They were delicious!

Is white chocolate out of the question? Seeing as it's not really chocolate.

This is like the bit in the Royle family where the nana says "can she eat wafer thin ham ?"

WheresRyder · 11/04/2014 21:12

Never thought of rice crispi eggs. These would be good for lactose intolerant dd.

Make these www.firstpalette.com/Craft_themes/Special_Occassions/Easter/stringeasteregg/stringeasteregg.html fill the balloon with some treats he can have before blowing up and then they will be inside the egg.
