onion marmalade, any recipes please

Does anybody have any tried and tested recipes for onion marmalade? Am meant to be 'taking it easy' during pregnancy so have started to make a range of relishes, preserves etc but do not have a recipe for onion marmalade/relish. Beats just watching videos all day.

Onion Marmalade

Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :1:30

1 pound onions -- sliced thin
7 tablespoons sugar
5 fluid ounces water
1 lemon -- juiced
olive oil to fry
salt and pepper

Place the pan on a medium heat and add the onions, cook for 5-10 minutes over a low heat until they begin to soften.

Add the sugar and vinegar, reduce the heat to minimum and cook for 1 1/2 hours until golden brown and transparent.

Season to taste and add the lemon juice. Serve warm.

thanks, have just finished beetroot relish and tomato chutney, all nicely bottled fermenting or whatever they do... so will tackle the onion marmalade this week.
