Anyone have a recipe for chickpea soup?

Had homemade chickpea soup about 10 years ago and it was delicious. No idea what else was in it. It wasn't at all spicy.

Anyone have a good recipe for a non-spicy chickpea soup?

Sauté onions or celery.
Add carrots, and stock.
Simmer till carrots are almost soft.
Add tinned chickpeas, simmer for a few more minutes.
Blend for a smooth texture.
Add fresh parsley and grated cheese on top.
Voila!

I am going to try this. Ikea restaurant do chickpea soup. It is delicious.

Thanks vatta! Will leave out the cheese (boak) but the rest sounds lovely!
