Mango crumble?

I hate cooked apples so don't eat apple crumble but my lovely mil have me a recipe for strawberry crumble, which is lovely.
I made it today and was considering putting fresh mango in too but DH thought it would be rank. Then I wondered if I could use mango on its own ( cooked up with butter and sugar to make filling) and then make a sort of tropical topping, maybe with toasted coconut and lime or something
Anyone got any ideas?

I like the sound of that. Don't think you'll have to sauté it though as mangoes are quite soft. Go with it.

sounds great.
You can make crumble with a surprising number of fruits. Peach crumble is delicious (we had a neighbour with a peach tree) Fresh slices peaches, and crumble topping, they go juicy and moist as they cook.
