Fig rolls?!

I've just binned a pack of these after eating just one. They were vile. Totally dry and tasteless. Lyons brand. I used to love fig rolls!! Can anyone recommend nice ones please or should I just relegate them to my food bin forever?!

Oh you can make these yourself so easy using ready roll pastry and dried figs, simmer the figs with water until nice and thick. There are loads of recipes on google and you can make them as thick and gooey as you like, honest dead easy :)

I'd never thought to make my own!! Ooooh I'll Google some recipes. Thanks for the idea.

Sainsbo's own are nice, and cheap.

Sainsburys and Jacob's recommendations noted - cheers!

Dip them in your tea like I do [shame]. I usually get the Jacobs ones too, but Tescos own are fine. I think the Lyons ones are nice too though so what do I know?
