Sloe gin ,any recipes?

Have discovered what i believe to be sloe trees whilst dog walking and have sudden urge to make sloe gin for chrimbo ,anyone know of a recipe or method ? will obviousley check sloes are real and not poisonous doppelgangers before wasting any gin!

SS ask her if sloe berrys grow on trees please ,thanks for your help on this on ,also how long does it keep ,mind you in my house gin evaporates!

I think sloes are generally ready for picking in October. I haven't got a recipe, but it is often recommended that you prick the berries with something like a darning needle to get the juices to seep out.

Freeze the sloes before you use them - increases the sugar content -
