JT bought them for the kids and now they have no artificial colourings there really is a difference in the appearance of them.

As far as I could see - no blue ones. THere are white ones, the brown ones and red ones are like a diluted version of the old ones. What's more, they were not bouncing off the walls after either.

Not seent hem yet, but been told. I thought they had tried white before and rejected them as there were complaints that they looked like tablets?

Gobblunarcharsky · 11/08/2006 18:16

Oooh, I don't know. Hmm, that's true. Definitely had white ones in though, the boys were very excited and pointed them out!

yes I have I thought they looked dull now and that the white ones looked like someone had sucked the colour off them!!

tillykins · 11/08/2006 18:39

but they are still made by nasty nestle

MarscusGarvey · 11/08/2006 18:42

but are there any orange ones? They are the only ones with any flavour and therefore my faves! Never waste the orange ones on the kids.

My son has the fruit smarties and got red puffy eyes straight away and had to stop eating them

southeastastra · 11/08/2006 19:33

they used to be made by rowntree, who made nice chocolate. i'll have to investigate! when did they change them?

julienetmum · 13/08/2006 21:34

Nestle took over Rowntrees so all their brands merged although they keep the name Rowntrees for a few things like jelly.

JennT · 13/08/2006 22:18

And Vittel water is Nestle too. The only clue is the address is YORK where Rountree/Nestle have their headquarters.

Jaysecond · 15/08/2006 20:50

Rowntrees jelly is now rebranded as Hartlys... its all cobblers!
