whisking sponge

My little hand beater/whisk thingy has given up . Can I make sponge mix for a sponge pudding in my food processor (too lazy to do it by hand)?

I think not. But its really easy by hand.

Melt the butter in the microwave first. If it's good enough for Mary Berry and all that.

In Nigella's Domestic Goddess, she makes her batter for fairy cakes in a processor and that's how I used to do all sponge batters with great results (I now have lovely stand alone mixer thingy...)
