My baby is 7 1/2 months and, I have been told, should start eating finger foods (on top of home made pureed veg, lentils, fruit and chicken). I bought some rusks yesterday to give her, as suggested by other moms. Was surprised to see they had so much sugar in them. Did this concern other mums? What finger foods did you use with teething babies?

ive always bought "reduced sugar" Farleys rusks and she had them once or twice a week as a treat but the normal biscuits were Cow & Gate Biscuits for babies and toddlers as its got lots of vitamins in it to compensate the sugar as its stated that average daily consumption of 4 biscuits - sugar is 5.4g.

otherwise other finger foods is stewed fruits (apples, pears), cold bananas, my DD loves cold Kiwi fruit!.

thanks for the suggestions. another mom I spoke to also suggested Cow & Gate rusks. Would be interested to know a recipe, although not sure I'll ever get organised enough to make them
