Hi

Am on hols and it's DD's 5th birthday tomorrow. Already made the cake but need to ice it... ingredients and quantities please ? pretty please ?

1 packet good quality chocolate. Melt in microwave and add 2 oz butter. Stir in some milk about 1 oz and then stir in icing sugar until glossy, and runny. Smear onto cake, don't worry if it is runny, it wll harden as choc sets. If you want a fudgey icing aim for the consistency of thickish custard. don't add too much icing sugar.

icing sugar, cocoa - seived - and mix with water. just add in small amounts til it looks and tastes ok. It isn;t the tastiest - I wouldn't put it on an adult's cake. Alternatively just use melted chocolate with a nob of butter to soften it slightly
