It is nice and not too jammy like a jam tart can be! Getting the pastry right is the hard part!

excellent, and what is the secret with the pastry? I take it it's supposed to be almost biscuity?

It is biscuity

dh is pretty good at baking but he has struggled to get the pastry thick or thin enough or the correct jam to pastry ration (he gets one or the other right). Still tastes good though!!
