Can I freeze chopped tomatoes

I made a casserole tonight but I have some leftover chopped tomatoes from a tin, could I put them into a container and freeze them. I don't want to waste them.

Go for it, just put them in a tightly closed carton or (even better) a flattened ziplock with the air squeezed out.

I always buy a catering pack of Tom purée from the wholesales then freeze it in small portions, just lob it frozen in whatever I'm cooking
