Red wine vinegar - does it ever go off?

I have some in the cupboard, unopened, but I can tell by the Sainsburys label that it's old!
Will it be ok to use?

Yes. Vinegar is a preservative. The worst that's ever happened to my vinegar is that it goes a little cloudy

It does look cloudy Cogito. I'd love to know how old it is. When did Sainsbury last change their packaging I wonder?

Even really ridiculous stuff like vinegar normal has a BBE. Does it not have a little dot matrix date on the lid?

My "vintage" red wine vinegar developed unidentifiable black plaques at the bottom after a few decades years. Didn't kill us when we cooked with it though.
