Will this ruin my beef stew?

I've got some big pieces of shin beef and I want to make a Bourguignon and whack it in the freezer. I've just bought this grinder thing of chilli flakes and garlic salt... I was thinking about using it to season the flour that you roll the meat in before browning off. I know the garlic is fine as a bourguignon is garlicky anyway, but will the chilli taste ruin it?
