Condensed Milk

I have made 2 batches of tablet today and still have 3/4 of a tin of condensed milk(used 1 1/4 tins).

What else can I make with the leftover condensed milk?

I have made mini muffins, fairy cakes, crispie cakes( can you tell the boys were baking)
2 x banana loaves and 2 bathces of tablet.

Don't want to throw it away so please can yuo reccommend something.

Think I have now used all the sugar too

In the meantime, decant it into a jar or a tupperware etc and it'll keep in the fridge for a week or two while you think of something else to make. It's pretty good spread on toast

Banoffee pie I think, though I usually boil mine in the tin, not sure if you can do it with an opened tin.

I googled the recipe for tablet and it came out well good.

18oz sugar
2oz butter
3 1/2 tbl spn condensed milk
170ml water

I doubled the recipe each time.

put all ingredients in a saucepan(tip i used a soup pot) and heat until butter and sugar are dissolved

bring the mixture to the boil stirring all the time

reduce heat until mixture simmers for about 10 mins- colour should change from white to caramel

take pan of the heat and beat real hard- mix will start to set

transfer mix to a clean greased tin, score your portions at this point

WALLA!!!! Fabby fattening tablet

lemon cheesecake? mix the leftover condensed milk with tub of cream (whipped) and juice and rind of three lemons. spread on gingernut biscuit base. delicious.

Hi. was not actually my recipe - I said I usually boil in the tin, but just googled banoffee pie recipes on the net and there are a couple that you can do that way.
