Mine are (in no particular order) olives, any kind of cheese , salad, any fish that didn't come from the chippy or in fishfingers, prawns, pulses of any description, pasta (never tried it until I was about 17 as my mum was a pretty unadventurous cook, although her hotpot was and still is divine . Sure I'll think of loads of other stuff. Must have lived on dinners with gravy, sandwiches and tomato soup!!

Ooh used to like rice pudding! Was always put in the oven at the same time as the hotpot as 'the oven was on anyway' Don't think I could eat it now though.

Olives. Was over 30 before I suddenly decided I liked them.

Still hate peppers (green, red, yellow, any colour) with a passion. Especially cooked peppers ".....This piece of meat touched a pepper! ", although I am happy to pick them ut of salads. Will retch if I attempt to eat them.

Don't like mushorrom either - I realise it is my loss. Can just aobut tolerate morels, but n genral can't stand the texture as well as the taste.

Didn't like the special rice pudding my Mum makes at Christmas - used to eat it until someone had won the "prize" (the whole almond) and then give the rest away. Now I love it, but it is not rice pudding as you know it: it's pudding rice cooked in cream and sugar on the hob (so no skin) then some butter folded through it and then, when it's cold, whipped cream and some chopped almonds and one whole almond folded through it. Yummy!

Fio, a def yes to the bath water I still yell to my kids 'does anyone want my bath' before I pull the plug and the kids have always shared the same water, if not the same bath Some habits are hard to break

Blue cheese and mussels. Still don't like tripe though and I used to have to cook it for my darling father . Tried most things some I'd never eat again, unless I really had to, but don't think you want to be put off your evening meal tonight. And for those of you who don't know what tripe is - google it, it's too disgusting to describe on here

I used to hate most things as a child and was very very picky. I remember going to a friends house as a child for tea and being told by her older brother that I was very unhealthy and the only things I liked were burgers, chips and fatty foods

Now I will eat anything and am not particularly into 'fatty' burger and chip type food at all. Only things I won't eat are seafood - cockles, mussels etc, rice pudding, baked beans, peas and offal.

barnsleytykes · 21/08/2006 14:17

yeahinaminute · 21/08/2006 15:16

Tuna
Olives
Cheese
sweetcorn / corn

Hated and still hate
Peppers
Marmite - 'tis the devil's excrement
kidneys
liver

laudaud · 21/08/2006 15:31

onions - even picked them out of the gravy - I think it was the slimey texture rather than the taste. Love them now and could quite happily eat a whole one raw!

DollyP · 21/08/2006 17:22

Olives, blue cheese, mushrooms, peas, liver, most other vegetables, gravy, roast dinners... was a very faddy child.

Now eat everything apart from nuts and tripe. Happily, you hardly ever see tripe on a menu and most people assume you're allergic to nuts and so don't bat an eyelid when you turn the peanuts down.

Piffle · 21/08/2006 17:26

mushrooms
asparagus
olives
sprouts
liver
strong cheese
