We had it this evening and it's gorgeous.

Chicken with tomatoes and mushrooms

(I cooked the final stage for longer than it says, over 10 mins rather than 4-6, under-cooked chicken is disgusting)

I do that quite a lot after college when i cannot be bothered, but i use chillies instead of mushrooms as nobody seems to like them.

Oh ff, you are such an earth mother! Most of us like mushrooms but I just couldn't believe how good it tasted with so few ingredients.

(Will you give me cookery lessons please? I am sooo crap at cooking!)

It is really lovely isn't it, tastes like much harder work.

I'm not an earth mother at the moment, i'm starting to crack, they're starting to remind me of an episode of men behaving badly. Tonight they got a tin of salmon and spoons. Like cats. Should have given them a glass of carnation each.

Course i'll give you lessons but only if you give me them back in socialising and calmness, oh and remebering everybodies problems on mn.

i'm going to try this. essentially brown chicken. remove to plate. fry onions (mush optional) and then tomatoes until reduced. stick in seasoning stick in chicken cook a bit.

am definitely going to try this.

ROFL at calmness (and socialising) you should have been here at 6pm when I was shrieking

Do try it soph, it really is fab (onions not required though - I was a bit shocked at that, I always put onions in everything but in fact it was great without).

Another recipe from good ol' Martha which I will be trying very soon is this one - chicken and tomatoes again but also red onions, peppers and potatoes - mmmmmmmm.
