How do you make yours??

I make corned beef hash but to me it's not stovies

And I also make a pot with potatoes, onions, link and sliced sausage and gravy but to me it's still not stovies

And my nanas version which I class as stovies was potatoe, onion and beef dripping salt and pepper but I've never made it as I wouldn't know how to do it but I loved it as a child

I once had stovies in a pub on the Isle of Skye, it was served in a cereal bowl and was very tasty. I've always understood it to be the left overs of a roast dinner or casserole. So no recipe as such. Primarily potato, other random veg and gravy that has gone to a mush, kept warm on the stove. That being the case, it's not something to make as such. When I do a roast dinner there is often veg and gravy left, but very little meat and it does make a tasty meal.
