Bag of spinach

I have a bag of spinach to use...I thought it was baby spinach and planned to eat it with salad. Can you do that with normal spinach?

For tonight's dinner, I am planning spaghetti, cream cheese, bacon, peas and spinach...would that work? I've also a got an open jar of tomato pesto in the fridge...would a spoonful of that ruin it?

Any other spinach suggestions please?

Works fine in a salad and would work well in the pasta dish although I'd leave out the pesto.
Spinach works really well in curry too

I'm about to make spinach soup to take into work next week.

Shread it up and use it in the pasta. Sounds nice. I'd stay clear of tomato pesto and cream cheese in the same dish.

Sounds good without the pesto. I love spinach in a curry (saag) and I love it in Italian bread (baked into it) mmm.

We have just had Lasagne and spinach salad...lush

Thanks Smile

I have mixed tomato pesto and cream cheese before but will leave it out this time Grin

I'll google spinach soup but think a curry might be a bit too adventurous...I'm not very good at this cooking malarkey!!

I've just put half the bag in my soup maker with a few other ingredients so will see how that turns out Smile

put the whole bag in, it shrinks away to nothing (you probably know this, sorry). I'd cook it down and add garlic, lemon and butter, then eat it with anything at all, I love spinach.

My soupmaker has a max marker so I put a load of spinach in, covered with hot water (to reduce it a bit) then added some more but it was at the max level so had to stop Grin!!

Will try your suggestion for the rest of the bag though Smile
