Hi just wondered if there was such a thing as a low cal smoothie? Maybe melon based? What other simple smoothie ideas are out there? Smile

There won't be a lot of calories in a simple fruit smoothie, even if it contains bananas. But indeed, things like melon or berries tend to be lower in calories, I used to buy frozen mixed packs of fruit (from Waitrose, but I'm sure other supermarkets have their versions). I just threw in a couple of handfuls of fruit, blended, then added almond milk to the desired consistency (almond milk is pretty good). It's naturally sweet from the fruit, low in cals from both fruit and almond milk, and healthy. For an average portion size, it would be about 80cals for a banana free one.

Sounds so vague, but the packs of fruit give the cals according to weight, so I would throw in about 50cals worth and then the almond milk was 20-30cals.

I now ignore calories in everything fruit Grin
