Do you have a no, never food?

Mine is tongue. Once mistakenly ate a salad with what looked like raw furry bacon bits in it. Was gross. Learned it was cow tongue afterwards.

Other no, never stuff: oysters. Ugh. Did it once, tasted like cold semen.

Snake. I will never knowingly eat snake.

Milk. I refuse to drink milk. Hate it.

Anyone else got no, never, foods or drinks?

Chocolate

AyUpMiDuck · 03/02/2014 18:28

Bruised apples
overripe bananas
grilled kidneys (its the smell)
pot noodle
fried eggs when there's barely-cooked gelly on the yolk
oysters
parsley or coriander in salads - it scratches my throat
oily peanut butter (but I love the reduced fat one)

AyUpMiDuck · 03/02/2014 18:29

... and cheesy wotsits.
they taste burnt and smell rancid

threeblueducks · 03/02/2014 18:31

Mushrooms. They are tasteless and slimy and shudder
And bananas. Craved them during my pregnancy, only to gag and vomit as soon as they touched my mouth.

AyUpMiDuck · 03/02/2014 18:33

oh Talking in Peace methinks you aren't going to get much support for that one!!! or will I be proved wrong? (I can live without the soft centres though).

dontcallmemam · 03/02/2014 18:40

Any offal
Oysters
Jellied eels
Prawn Cocktail crisps (who invented fish crisps)
Foie Gras & Veal on ethical grounds (although I know veal is now much more ethically produced I can't bring myself to eat it)
Haggis

GinnelsandWhippets · 03/02/2014 18:41

Ooh loads. Let me think.
Beetroot
Hard boiled eggs and all associated products (eg egg salad, scotch egg, egg mayonnaise)
Pork pies
Any sort of savoury jelly (aspic type stuff)
Oysters
Wilted, sad looking picnic food
Branston pickle
Blue cheese (except st agur), goat's cheese, very smelly cheese
Offal
Meat on pizza (except ham or pepperoni)
Pickled fish, pickled veg (except japanese pickles)

Think that's it! I was massively food phobic as a child but I have it under control now Wink.

trixymalixy · 03/02/2014 18:53

Mmm, tongue is delicious. Oysters I will eat, but don't really see what the fuss is about. I'd rather have mussels.

hazelnutlatte · 03/02/2014 18:58

I couldn't force down if I tried

Offal
Salad cream
Coleslaw
Oysters
Egg mayonnaise

I don't like (but would eat if I really had to)

Processed sliced meat (ham, chicken roll etc)
Margarine
Minced meat
Cucumber
Mushy peas
Raw onion
Goats cheese

I thought I wasn't a fussy eater but maybe I am!
All of you cottage cheese haters - I love the stuff and will eat it with Doritos as a dip!

TalkinPeace · 03/02/2014 18:59

Ayup I know its an unusual one.
I happily eat pretty much anything else

hazelnutlatte · 03/02/2014 19:01

Just read posts on chicken feet -will add that to my 'couldn't force it down list.' My brothers wife loves them but my brother has banned them from their house as he actually vomited when he saw her cooking them!

Mintyy · 03/02/2014 19:29

I can eat it to be polite, but I would also put chocolate very close to the top of my most disliked foods.

It dries my mouth and makes my jaw ache. I wouldn't choose to eat it.

oinktopus · 03/02/2014 19:38

Veal, foie gras, and it's been so long since I've eaten lamb that I may never eat that again.

In terms of taste or look or anything else, goat's milk cheese, cow heel, tripe, and butter beans.

Jellykat · 03/02/2014 20:03

A lot of meats (like oinktopus above) Veal, foie gras and lamb.. along with rabbit, pigeon, partridge, duck and turkey.

I can't even look at rice pudding or porridge, smell anything goaty, and after a particularly bad night in my teenage years - Pernod is made by the devil IMO.

oinktopus · 03/02/2014 20:16

JellyKat Your list could be the second half of mine! I've never eaten any game either and I also have a bad Pernod memory. Just the smell of it turns my stomach. In fact, just the thought of it. Bleurgh!

BlessedAssurance · 03/02/2014 20:31

Sweet, pigs trotters and chicken feet are sought after where i come from. I am 32 weeks pregnant and boy do i want tripe. Ate much when i was young but not available where i am so very Sad right now.

Spottybra · 03/02/2014 20:38

Too many to list but here's the top or more commonly found few;
Mayonnaise
Salad cream
Brown sauce
Pâté
Doughnuts
KFC
Baked beans
Kidney beans
Tomatoes (only fresh ones, love passata)

.....the list goes on

notso · 03/02/2014 20:47

'Bitty' drinks smoothies etc, bleurgh.

Wobbly food, jelly, quiche, bread and butter pudding etc.

Eggs unless totally hidden in a cake or glazing a pie and even then if someone mentions their presence it puts me off. I love baking but if I crack an egg and see a little blob of 'pre-chick cells' it put me off.
I have a baaad memory of been forced to eat egg sandwiches and jelly and ice cream by Sarah B's Mum in a birthday party Sad

Freaky meat, hotdogs, nuggets, crab sticks etc.

Offal in any form even pate MIL.

Sea creatures.

Antidote · 03/02/2014 21:01

Salad cream.
Tongue
Tripe
Trifle.
Desecrated coconut.
Custard.

I would properly freak out if presented with recognisable eel or snake.

claig · 03/02/2014 21:10

Quorn

PinkPeanuts · 03/02/2014 21:21

Raw Tomatoes
Pork
Peas
Offal
Tripe

Jellykat · 03/02/2014 21:26

oinktopus, oo nice to hear i'm not the only intelligent lady who discovered the sheer wrongness of Pernod in their yoof! Smile

wimsywon · 03/02/2014 21:30

Any thing with a face!

oinktopus · 03/02/2014 21:33

Jellykat Alas, you might still be the only one because I can't lay claim to intelligence, but can lay claim to a Y chromosome. I tend to keep quiet about it, though. Smile

BabyMummy29 · 03/02/2014 21:34

Offal
Cabbage
Fish roe
Celery
Cold custard
