Just been given a marrow - what do I do with it? Stuffing ideas etc

Now ladies - no rude suggestions please!

My next door neighbour has an allotment and often gives me any surplus.

Never cooked a marrow-any ideas.

Seems such a waste to chop it up and use it like a courgette.

TIA

I slice it into think slices and cut out the middle seedy bit, then stuff it with either sausage meat or sos-mix seasoned with a bit of fahijta style seasoning. Then top with rings of onion to stop t drying out and pop in the oven on a medium heat for as long as it takes!

I love it and eat a whole one every time as my lo's don't like it - I forget that every time I buy one and just ahve to eat it myself

I split mine down the middle, scoop out the seeds. The cook up a mixture of whatever I fancy - can be onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc., with spices and herbs, then mix with either cooked rice or couscous. Fill each "groove" and then bake in the oven. Start off with both halves encased in foil, then open up to crisp up the top. Often put cheese in the mixture or sprinkle over the top. Delish, very cheap and low in calories depending on what you use in the stuffing.

So it seems stuffing is the way to go then.

I think we'll rescue all the ones that are still at courgette stage tomorrow and bung 'em in a giant ratatouille. Bloody great green useless bastards.
