Does anyone know the difference between tomato puree and tomato paste?

Tomato paste

It works out a bit cheaper than the tomato puree you get in a tube. Also I find tomato puree can make things taste a bit metallic and bitter.

I assume purree is more concentrated?

They're exactly the same, paste is just the American term. You get tomato puree in cans here too.
