Not really for this time of year but I often give dd home made chicken and vegetable soup which she loves and it is a meal in itself (packed with peices of chicken potatoes and many other veg)

Also leeks wrapped in Ham covered in cheese sauce baked in the oven served with homemade chips to dip in the cheese sauce, yummy (actually that is what i think I'll make tonight.)

I'm doing macaroni cheese tonight (with bits of onion, garlic and bacon added to make it a bit tastier), served with salad and french bread. Not very inspired but quick and suitable for little ones

This week we have had/are having:

  • Pasta with pork meatballs in a tomato and pasil sauce, with garlic bread
  • Pizza and home made oven chips
  • Gammon steak, vegetables and potatoes
  • Tuna steak, rice and salad
  • Beef stroganoff with a puff pastry topping

ready made pizza bases, give them bowls of cheese, tomato, ham, etc mine will eat more if they've been involved in making it. if you don't have pizza bases in, use muffins/crumpets instead and just grill.

Chicken, broccoli pasta bake - so easy!

Grill or roast chick breasts & cut into chunks.
Put int ovenproof dish with cooked pasta & broccoli. I add 1/2 a jar of salsa (doritos/pringles type one) for flavour but you could add 1/2 tin chopped tomatoes
Poyr over some ready made cheese sauce, sprinkle with extra cheese & bake for 20 mins.

Hula, do you plan a week's menu in advance? Am v impressed! I don't work and live next to supermarket/market so shop daily and what I cook depends on mood/weather/wine (as in how much I have had and can I be bothered!) and inspiration - I sometimes see something on TV or in a mag or book and think, I MUST cook that today! Do admire the more organised though
