Your Favourite Slow Cooker Chicken Recipie

Hi,

I would be grateful if anyone could pass on their favourite chicken slow cooker recipes. Am looking for a yummy dish to make this Sunday! Have had a google but would rather have a personal recommendation (will be the second thing I have made in my new slow cooker!)

I used to pot roast a whole chicken in mine: I think I probably used some leeks and carrot, chopped into large chunks, as a trivet. I probably put a garlic clove or two and half a lemon in the cavity. I don't remember adding liquid but if you're nervous then add a small glass of white wine (at the start! If you add cold liquid half way through the pot cracks, which is why I haven't don't have a slow cooker any more).

My favorite:

Frozen chicken breast, Frank's Buffalo chicken sauce, cream cheese, and a packet that's only available in the US (Hidden Valley Ranch) that's basically garlic powder & salt. I chop it up and serve it in wraps with lettuce & yogurt.

Sweet and Sour Chicken? This is my recipe. You can use any vinegar you like in place of the garlic vinegar, rice or cider vinegars would work well, maybe add a crushed clove of garlic slong with the other ingredients.

I make a spanish style chicken with chopped chicken thighs, a piece of chorizo chopped up, chopped peppers and onions, a carton or two of chopped tomatoes and some smoked paprika. I often stick in some dried oregano as well.

This goes well with almost anything but my favourite is some roasted small potatoes.

I have chicken breasts in, not thighs. Can I use those diced instead?

Too late now but any kind of chicken is fine, I use thighs in the slow cooker because they don't dry out so much.
