Can I de-salt cooked ham?

I did a small piece of gammon in the slow cooker today. Didn't soak the bugger overnight and now it's too salty to give to DD. What if I put it in cooked boiled water for the night?

You could of you changed the water.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to boil it with some potatoes. But I'm tired so I'm not certain.

But it's already boiled. If I boil it again it will be as tough as a sole.

That's more like it. Just as I thought but will now put it into the fridge. So knackered that probably would have left it on the kitchen top otherwise Blush

yep I would have probably done the same.

Reminds me, I have a large piece of gammon I need to get cooked and rid of. It's been in the freezer for a while.
