victoria sponge question

right, do you use two tins for your victiria sponge or one tin and then slice it in half? I'm thinking one tin sounds easier but would i need to increase the cooking time if i did this as i would be making a larger cake? any words of wisdom appreciated

two tins if you have them
save yourself the hassle of trying to slice it in half easily
