Frozen polenta balls - recipes

I picked up a bag of these whilst shopping because they intrigued me :)
I've never cooked with polenta before, has anyone got any tips with what I can do with them or are they doomed to live forever in my freezer!

That's funny I saw them on tesco website last night and considered them. Went with the block of ready made polenta instead purely because it's cheaper per kg. I'm planning to cut them into chips and bake them wrapped in Parma ham and sprinkled with Parmesan. I think it was on the bbc good food site. I don't know how you cook the balls but maybe you could do something like that?

I made a polenta bake with ours, so like a pasta bake really. Also just served them seasoned as an alternative to potatoes/chips for DS.

Ooh I got some of these the other day too and no idea what to do with them either... I have made polenta before with limited success (watery and bland!) so watching with interest.

Oh I completely failed at cooking polenta from scratch. Not attempting that again... for the sake of my saucepan

Ha, it seems that they will be forever doomed to a life in the freezer! Google doesn't seem to know what to do with them either! So polenta bake or round chippy things it is then :)

I tried them last night. I just boiled them as per the packet instructions but I expected them to sort of stick together and become a homogenous gloop, but they stayed as balls. Sort of like gnocchi.

Might try baking them next.

Make polenta up with half-and-half water and white wine, then beat in a whole load of butter and grated Parmesan. Boom.

I read your title OP and saw placenta Mind boggled briefly.
