Would you recommend your induction hob / double oven??

Sorry not sure where to post but as you all seem to cook loads thought I'd try here . I need to order a 5 ring induction hob and a double oven for cooking / baking and there are so many mixed reviews of every brand I'm totally confused. My local shop is recommending the Neff version of both but there are many -ve comments when I search here. Any opinions would be so appreciated thanks

I have a range with induction hob ! Best thing I ever bought !!! Mines a falcon ! My daughter has the neff oven, micro, induction hob and hood and she is delighted with them all !!!

one, I really like the range falcon one! Looking at redoing the kitchen later this year and wondering if that is the one. Which colour do you have?

I have a Stoves Richmond range with induction hob and I LOVE IT!!

I have a Siemens 5 ring hob...it's not without it's negative points. The glass scratches easily if you like to shake your food rather than use a stirrer. High heats with cast iron have also damaged the glass. I have had it for 2 years and the controls still drive me nuts, they are not intuitive, often something will be turned off accidentally and the bloody thing bleeps whenever you place anything metal on it. Aluminium pans that claim to work on induction are very inefficient and a bit pointless. BUT it's safer than gas especially for the kids and heats up as quickly, I have a gas wok ring too for stir fries. I definitely would get one again despite my irritation by it.

Thanks for all your replies. Oneplan great to her you love your induction hob, I was seriously considering a rangecooker but for space and layout reasons am opting for eye level [sob, sob]!. Mrsremise another vote for induction, yay. Snowdown thanks for your comments, interesting re scratching of the surface, I have read other comments re the controls (it sounds like you need a PhD to operate some of these things!).

I have a Siemens Induction hob too & it drives me mad. I have a Siemens wok ring next to it. My ovens are NEFF & I also have a warming drawer, which I really like (around £400 +- £30 for any size).

I keep hoping I'll get used to the hob (DH wanted induction).

I've had induction for years and would never go back. I originally had an AEG hob on which 2 of the rings were induction. I rarely used the other two. After that one met with a buzzy, smelly end, I needed a new one in a hurry and replaced it with a basic Beko one. It doesn't have a timer, but I can live with that. I find it more frustrating that there's no ring for extra large pans, so I don't get quite the heat distribution in my stock pot, to start with.

Despite the lack of functionality (it was all of £175!) and the fact that it beeps and shuts out if anything goes over the controls (sometimes my hand, when I'm stirring) I wouldn't go for any other electric option and I find it so much easier to clean and a lot less scary with the boys than gas. My circulon infinite (aluminium with steel base) pans work beautifully on it.

And instructions for both hobs I've had have recommended against using cast iron because of the weight and scratchiness.
