Ds is harrassing me to make some ,got oats and golden syrup, what else do i need.
I need something easy he is doing my head in

We made these yesterday. Because standing at a stove melting butter is what I like to do in this heat

Preheat oven at 160C.

Heat 150g butter, 120g light brown sugar, and 2 tbsp golden syrup gently until dissolved.

Remove from heat and stir in 250g oats.

Put mixture into a lined 8?sq (ish) tin and press it all down quite hard

Cook for 30 minutes, until golden.

Cut into finger shapes while warm but leave in tin to cool.

cheers fruitful, will i be able to add raisins to this and does it matter if the tin is not lined?

Sorry, didn't see you'd posted back. Did they work? Not lining the tin just makes them a bit trickier to get out in flapjack-shapes (not necessarily a problem of course!).
