I gave dd jacket tattie with tuna/mayo/cheese and she loved it. I went to put the jar of mayo away and its says it should be stored in the fridge (i had in the cupboard) and it said to keep for 3mth (i'm sure we have had it longer than that) now i'm worried incase she gets a tummy upset, dh seemed to think it would be ok but i'm going to worry for the rest of the day now

was the mayo already open? It only needs storing in the fridge once its open.

I often leave my mayo out on the side - doesn;t come to any harm but am only talking for a day max not for weeks. But thats only once open, if sealed can leave at room temp endlessly (withitn reason!)

She will probably be ok, did it smell funny or look a funny yellow colour>?

smelt like mayonnaise and was white colour, i did cook it in the oven tho
