ideas for cheap tinned oily fish

I love tinned sardines, mackerel etc and they're so cheap, but I never do anything interesting with them. Sardines and similar fish (eg pilchards) go into a tomato sauce with herbs/olives/capers and pasta (similar to a puttanesca). Mackerel and smoked tinned fish go into fishcakes or mixed with mayo to go in a jacket potato. Any more interesting ideas?

Smoked mackerel is nice done as a risotto or kedgeree with some bacon to liven it up. Also nice with Japanese noodles and horseradish or pickled ginger with spring onions and cucumber salad and lime.

Pilchards with any sort of pasta and oven roasted veg and tomatoes.

You can't beat sardines and tomatoes on toast with a dash of vinegar.

Smoked mackerel makes a really good kedgeree.
