Its yellow and looks like a very small pumokin or squash - what is it?

I have two of them in my veg box today, I don't even know if its veg or fruit - any ideas...

yellow with green stalk
about the size of a pepper
hard like a squash

not much else i can say about it really??

I don't know what it is but I roasted mine in veg oil and seasoning last night. Like you would roasted veggies. It tasted fine.

sorry again - slow computer meant i crossed posts with your cooking advice - might try the a combi of the 2 a roast it with garlic and oinion . How did you chop it... or did you just roast it whole??

I had golden beetroot in last weeks box,are you sure it's not that.Squash isn't in season is it?

Just chopped top and bottom off then into quarters.

Yes - quartered, or at least big chunky slices, otherwise it collapses....

I'm almost sure it's called a gemsquash.. they are very yummy, roasted slowly in oven and then eaten with butter on top and cumin seeds..
