Apologies for the stupid question but I've just opened a tin of coconut milk to add to a curry.

It's completely solid, which is not what I was expecting. Is it OK?

Thanks

yes; you'll probably find water at the bottom - but perfectly fine

This is normal, just give it a stir and it will all mix up, or if it doesn't mix up put it into yr curry and it will kinda melt.

Excellent, thank you

Yes - its all the fat, low fat coconut milk doesn't do this (and doesn't taste half as good!).

Thanks for this post chance
I've just ordered some on my online shop for a curry recipe. I've never used it before so if I hadn't read this I would have been asking the same question or thrown it away.
