Salad dressing

Does anyone have any good recipes/links for salad dressing/French dressing

I make this Bill Granger one several times every week, it is delicious..

Get a clean jam jar (or other small jar with the tight lid)
Add:

2 Tablespoons of mild olive oil
1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon of runny honey
2 teaspoons of dijon mustard
salt and black pepper

Put the lid on tightly and shake vigorously.

I would do a more oil / less vinegar version, and often don't bother with the honey. Try out proportions until you find what you like (at a guess, as I don't measure, I'd say more like 5 oil to 1 vinegar plus a bit of mustard).

Good additions include crushed garlic and chopped parsley especially if you're having it on something other than lettuce e.g. tomatoes, artichokes.
