Can anyone recommend a good iPad app for meal planning? Determined to start the year as I mean to go on and plan our way to less waste and money saving!

Unlikely you'll get a decent app for this kinda thing...how is it supposed to know what you have available to you or what you like...

I started meal planning by listing everything I had in fridge, freezer and cupboards...be imaginative and come up with as many meals as you can. Then think about what meals you could add by only adding another 1 or 2 ingredients.

I work on a rota basis...chicken/mince/pasta weeks. So chicken would be a roast on Sunday, strip off remaining meat and make a pie, then soup with the carcass.

I find it saves lots of money but sometimes struggle for new meal ideas. I use pen and paper I'm afraid.

I use an app called food planner on my android tablet, not sure if its available for iPads or not. Once you've put a meal in once you can just click on the name to put it in next time and it will tell you how often you eat that meal and when you last had it. Also if you go through and add the ingredients for each meal you can get a shopping list for each week. You can also sync it with your partner's tablet for example. I find it very useful.
