Can you get vegetarian gelatine, if so where?

Can you marinade quron chicken and does it make any difference to the taste?

You can use agar-agar, which you can get from health food shops, instead of gelatine.

You can marinade Quorn, it makes a difference to the taste. Quorn takes on the taste of what you marinade/cook it in really well.

there are various poducts you can use instead of gelatine- try holland and barrat or large wholefood stores. ves jelly sucks, tho as it doesnt really set. quorn can be marinated but the chunks are quite heavy going. i prefer the mince.

sorry meant 'veg' jelly

I use to be a strict vegetarian but never cooked with quorn.

As for vegetarian geltine, I've never used that either! Agar Agar is sometimes used instead of pork gelatine but that's also the stuff that you use to grow bacteria in petri dishes! Depends what you need it for. You can get vegetarian jelly from health food shops.

Actually, I think you can marinade quorn pieces but I've never done it before myself. I'm sure it would taste just as good.
